February 06, 2012 — Bob Kleinmann, Ph.D., is joining the firm as a senior mining technologist. Dr. Kleinmann will advance CH2M HILL’s mine reclamation capabilities as he transitions into an advisory role for the mining team’s top ten programs, supports business development activities, and helps define mining technology best practices.

January 25, 2012 — This spring, two deserving Grambling and Southern University students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program will each be awarded a $3,000 scholarship from CH2M HILL. The scholarship checks were presented by CH2M HILL Senior Vice President for Government Affairs, Howlie Davis, to the Presidents of Southern University and Grambling State during the Bayou Classic football game.

December 13, 2011 — At a gala banquet at POWER-GEN International in Las Vegas, Nev., on December 12, Power Engineering magazine’s editors recognized the 2011 Projects of the Year Award finalists and announced three winners and six honorable mentions. This year’s Projects of the Year Award winners and honorable mentions represented facilities and/or technology that signified excellence in three categories: coal-fired, gas-fired and renewable energy. Best Gas-Fired Project 2011: Empire Generating Project, owned by Empire Generating Co. LLC in Rensselaer, N.Y. CH2M HILL was the EPC Contractor.
