CH2M HILL’s Learning Approaches

At CH2M HILL, your supervisor’s virtual door is always open to discussing ways to develop your career path and goals. You can chose from any and all of these approaches:

Online—Over 100 online business and computer skills courses offer employees an opportunity to explore diverse topics at no charge, available 24/7 on the company intranet.
Self-study—Courses through the learning library and online enable individuals with initiative to pick the development activities most relevant to their needs.
Mentoring—Staff learn by sharing their own or listening to others’ knowledge and experience via mentoring resources available to all employees.
On-the-job development—Techniques include coaching, mentoring, action–learning and job rotation—flexibility in the work environment promotes this by enabling risk taking and preparing staff for leadership success.
Traditional classroom—These courses are taught by an instructor in a classroom environment.
Blended learning—These opportunities combine online resources and traditional classroom techniques. The online resources are for knowledge transfer and the classroom is for skills practice with others.
