CH2M HILL Procurement Manager Jobs - Greenwood Village, CO

Our Procurement Manager job will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting Energy and Chemical projects in our Greenwood Village office. Each day you will be an important team member as you participate in the management of contracts and procurement projects for our Fortune 500 clients.
Our Procurement Manager:
- Provides direction and expertise to Procurement related activities for projects within a specific Business Group
- Directs the planning and execution of operational requirements and projects
- Ensures Procurement engaged in business development and proposal support activities
- Acts as the focal point for all matters relating to the acquisition of goods and services for a project during the proposal process
- Provides the necessary written and pricing/cost information in support of the proposal process
- Provides preliminary risk assessment to the Procurement activities assumed by the proposed Prime Contract
- Provides a preliminary strategy for Procurement execution including any mitigation of risk assumed by the proposed Prime Contract
- Manages assigned Procurement resources and directs Procurement activities required to support the planning and execution of projects
- Understands and is aware of changing market conditions with regard to trends in the pricing of materials, equipment and services
- Maintains performance metrics to measure the performance of the Project Procurement Group with regard to cost savings, on time delivery and cost of rework
- Assists in the resolution of Purchase Order and Subcontract disputes
- Participates in development of Project Execution Plans
- Recommends sources of supply, including minority and women owned businesses (where applicable)
- Responsible to support the timely and accurate dispute resolution
- Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, Management, Clients, support organizations and project team members
SPECIAL NOTE: Ch2M Hill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H-1B, etc.,) to fill this position. Preference will be given to qualified candidates residing in the greater Denver area.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of Procurement and/or Subcontracting experience
- Minimum of 7 years of Procurement and/or Subcontracting experience in the Energy sector
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supervision of Procurement staff and/or Subcontracting staff
- Significant experience in managing Procurement operations for major projects including drafting and formulating contracts, bidding, negotiating and administering major purchase orders and Subcontracts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will also possess the following preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or other applicable field is preferred
