"Whether you are a student or a young practicing professional, I cannot think of a more powerful professional development program than participating in EWB USA. Engaged participants strengthen their technical skills, sharpen their core values, and expand their world view as they execute projects in the developing world. Perhaps the greatest competence gained by participants and their universities and employers is ‘ingenuity’..the leadership characteristic marked by adaptability, creativity, resourcefulness, and self-confident service to the less fortunate. In the end, universities, government agencies, and private-sector firms share these benefits as high potential professionals flow upward and outward through the talent pipeline"

What is Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB USA)?
EWB USA helps create a more stable and prosperous world by addressing people's basic human needs by providing necessities such as clean water, power, sanitation, and education. EWB USA has more than 350 projects in over 45 developing countries around the world including water, renewable energy, sanitation, and more.
What is CH2M HILL's Involvement with EWB USA?
As a founding sponsor of EWB USA, CH2M HILL is committed to using technical skills as a global engineering and construction firm to improve quality of life, deliver sustainable engineering solutions, and give back to the global community
We take an integrated approach to our partnership by providing financial, in-kind, and leadership support. An active network of more than 100 CH2M HILL employees volunteer with local student and professional chapters and participate in CH2M HILL's internal EWB USA community of practice, which provides a forum to share ideas and lessons learned on projects. These individuals contribute countless hours to help grow the EWB USA organization, mentor students, serve as public speakers and ambassadors, and bring sustainable engineering projects to life in countries such as Guatemala, Honduras, Mali, and Rwanda.
Since 2002, CH2M HILL's financial support has totaled more than US$732,000 to implement water, energy, and sanitation projects.
CH2M HILL also provides leadership and in-kind support to EWB USA. Senior Project Manager Mike Paddock and retired Senior Vice President Bud Ahearn serve on EWB USA’s Board of Directors. Our leadership also extends into the chapters, with numerous CH2M HILL employees serving as chapter founding members and presidents.
Join CH2M HILL and our growing network of employees actively engaged with EWB USA. You will be met with challenging and exciting projects which make a difference and develop your skills and given opportunities to learn alongside the industry’s best and brightest technical experts. You might even receive financial support for your involvement with EWB USA.
